Consignment Agreement

Nepean Classic Cars has been involved with consigning cars since 1989. Our dealer’s licence 11732 has been current, approaching 15 years of trading.

Ninety percent of the cars in our yard today are consignment cars, just for an example April 2005 we sold 10 cars and nine of them were consignment, in May 2005 we sold 8 so far and 7 of them were consignment.

What are the advantages of consigning your car with us?

We advertise with two major magazines specialising in the classic car market; Australian Classic Cars and Just World Cars and we also advertise in the Trading Post.  Both magazines have full page advertisements with pictures of vehicles and description.

We advertise in the following car clubs magazines:

ü             The MG Car Club Hunter Region Inc. 

ü             MG Car Club Ltd. (Sydney)

ü             Car Club Canberra Inc.

We also participate in sponsorship of these car club’s concourses.

What are the costs involved?

Ten percent commission on sale price of the car plus G.S.T. that equals eleven percent commission.

A fee of  $50.00 a month plus G.S.T. that equals $55.00. This includes:

ü             The advertising of the vehicle

ü             Cleaning / Detailing

ü             Insurance

Note:

The (M.T.A.) standard ‘memorandum of consignment’ form is  completed before listing of vehicle for sale.

All sales are transacted through our trust account, which is audited every 12 months, when our dealer’s licence is renewed.

A copy of trust account entry is supplied upon completion of sale.

Any offers must be confirmed by owner before acceptance.

All vehicles are garaged inside the buildings overnight, full back to base monitored security is provided throughout the premises.
